Are you Reactive or Proactive about your Health?

Last week’s MindShift question was as follows:

When it comes to your healing journey are you more REACTIVE or PROACTIVE?

I think this can be viewed as a spectrum that goes a bit like this

Reactive ————Passive———- Active————-Proactive

I asked the ladies to also think about some additional questions such as on average where did they feel that their default position was on the spectrum, was there still space for progress and what did they feel was blocking that progress.

I have to admit that when I first asked this question I thought I knew what I would be talking about on Thursday, I was wrong haha.  I was surprised at how my thoughts on this changed as the week went by, so here are 3 things I learnt about being reactive or proactive. Do any of them give cause you to pause and think?

  1. It’s a no-brainer that I am reactive. Even though I’ve been selective about what I eat, drink and exercise, I think I’m not proactive enough and that has to change. Thanks for the wake-up call. I really appreciate it!
