What pursuing “Mr Right” taught me about Success and Failure

What pursuing "Mr Right" taught me about Success and Failure

Not only is this week the week of love but hey, it’s Valentine’s day and it’s got me thinking about important lessons from relationships especially what I’ve learnt in the pursuit of “Mr Right”. As they say, the way you do one thing is the way you do everything, so that means you can learn about success and failure in other areas of your life from the way you do relationships. So in this post, I’m sharing some of my learnings with you. You may not know this but I met my ex-partner when I was 18 years old and Continue Reading →

“Vision Boards” in the Bible

"Vision Boards" in the Bible

Yesterday I discovered two things, firstly an example of “Vision Boards” in the Bible and secondly that Vision Boards were made popular by the book ‘The Secret’. Before I realised either of these two things I had already been using visual imprinting for several years and had seen it work in different areas of my life. As such I have a good scientific basis of why and how it works so felt very comfortable using it in the work I do with clients. For many years mainstream Christianity has shunned the use of vision boards because of its association with Continue Reading →

Your Biggest Why and Breaking through Resistance

Breaking through the dam of resistance

I’ve had wake-up calls before. For instance, falling ill changed my life but it took time and I went down really, really low before I could even begin to see any light at the end of the tunnel. Yet, as much as I have grown and changed over the years I still struggle with resistance. I hear people say that you need to have a BIG WHY in order to overcome your resistance, I get that. But let’s take a moment to think about what resistance really is. Resistance is defined as the impeding or stopping effect exerted by one material thing Continue Reading →

How I’m using my LifeScore to Transform my 2018

Joshua 1:8

I recently took Michael Hyatt’s LifeScore Assessment, I’m a sucker for quizzes, tests and assessments at the best of time so I couldn’t say no to trying this one and actually, I thought it was intuitive, simple and had a good level of ‘face validity’. So in this post I’m going to share a little bit on my results but mostly on what I learnt from them, how it’s going to inform my 2018 goals and why I think this is a great starting tool to help you make amazing shifts in 2018 (and no I’m not an affiliate, I Continue Reading →

Pursing Change vs becoming the Change

Pursuing change vs becoming the change

A lot can happen in 365 days, in fact, you’ve probably realised at some point that your whole world can change in just one moment!  That’s why I’ve been thinking a lot about change and readiness recently. For example, the Bible talks about being transformed by the renewing of the mind and the re-creating of the heart, and likewise that our body prospers just as our soul prospers. All of this points back to a need to change at an intracellular level before it happens on an extra-cellular level, in a nutshell, it means that you are first required to change Continue Reading →

3 Steps to get what you REALLY Want

3 Steps to get what you REALLY Want

Confession time, the last two years have probably been the toughest of my life because I came out of a long-term relationship that had supported me through some of my worst moments. I had to discover myself and my strength in a much deeper way. had to lean on YHWH in a way that I had never had to before, had to make decisions from a whole new place and none of it was easy. But saying that, it has also been the season that has caused me to manifest the resource within me to start again from scratch and Continue Reading →

The Danger of NOT Letting go of your Past

Rather, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him."

Last week I had a BIG wake-up call (don’t you just love it when God does that?) and I was faced with news that would finally sever ties to the past. Even though in my mind I thought that I had left the past behind obviously I hadn’t fully let it go. God brought a visiting pastor to our church, and he preached on this topic, which convicted me so much, so I’m passing what I took from it onto you because maybe you too need to hear this. So many times we think we have left the past behind Continue Reading →

Self-knowing as the Key to Clarity in Life and Purpose

Self knowing is your inner guidance system

Throughout May I have been doing a series on re-discovering your voice. I started it because a friend of mine had commented on how naturally and authentically I present my “brand” to the world, nothing “salesy” yet still attractive and aligned to who I am. I am not a business coach and don’t pretend to be but I guess what she was saying that in a space where people can definitely come across one way and be another, to have a brand that is authentic, congruent AND still attractive to potential clients is often not the case. You’ve probably heard Continue Reading →

How to Be the Light in a Dark World

How can we be the light in a dark world, how can we make an eternal impact and transform lives? Over the last few weeks, I have been talking about the importance of re-discovering your voice over in my FB Group. Simply put, our voice is the truth of who we are. Unfortunately, there are some things which stop us from re-discovering and embracing our voice namely: Shame and Fear. Shame leads us to believe that our voice is wrong, faulty or not good enough to be loved and accepted by others. Fear focuses on the potential consequences or “what ifs” Continue Reading →

What I learnt from my Friend’s Passing – I give myself Permission to Live!

I give myself permission to serve in joy

A close friend of mine and dear sister in faith passed away over the weekend and as usual, when something like this happens it prompts you to reflect on life. I would like to share some of my thoughts with you. My friend Lorraine was/is amazing. She had a larger than life personality and an even bigger heart, her door was always open for fellowship and she was a mother to many people. She was a fantastic intercessor and worshipper. Each year without fail she would travel to Israel for ministry work or celebrate a feast day, last year she went Continue Reading →
