3 Passover Reflections to Transform your Faith Walk

3 Passover Reflections to Transform your Faith Walk

Good Friday has come around again and I’m in a reflective mood. I’m actually thinking about Passover because technically that is what Good Friday is, a celebration of Jesus as our Passover Lamb. Have you ever considered these words from Revelation 13: 8, that the lamb was slain before the foundation of the world and also in 1 Peter 1: 2: “He was appointed beforehand to this before the foundation of the world and was manifested at the end of times for you;” No matter how busy I am, as soon as the time draws closer to Resurrection week, my Continue Reading →

Your Heart knows the Way

your heart knows the way

Dearest one,   I want you to know that your heart DOES know the way and the answer.   So many times the Bible speaks of the contrast between a hard and softened heart. A hard heart is closed off, wary and fearful, a soft heart is open, embracing, willing to learn and expansive.   The Bible also says that the heart is deceitful, who can fathom it – but if you look closer at the Hebrew, the Bible isn’t saying that the heart is wicked or evil but more that it is crooked or that it is skewed and Continue Reading →

What pursuing “Mr Right” taught me about Success and Failure

What pursuing "Mr Right" taught me about Success and Failure

Not only is this week the week of love but hey, it’s Valentine’s day and it’s got me thinking about important lessons from relationships especially what I’ve learnt in the pursuit of “Mr Right”. As they say, the way you do one thing is the way you do everything, so that means you can learn about success and failure in other areas of your life from the way you do relationships. So in this post, I’m sharing some of my learnings with you. You may not know this but I met my ex-partner when I was 18 years old and Continue Reading →

The Gift you secretly want but you don’t

So often we find it's the very things that we want the most that we have a nasty habit of running away from

Who doesn’t like to receive a gift? Not you right? Well, how sure are you about that? Because I’ve noticed that it’s often the very things that we want the most that we have a nasty habit of running away screaming from. So you want to see a change in X and you’ve been praying for it, but how about those nasty self-sabotaging behaviours that you have been acting out to subconsciously push it away? Uh-huh, you didn’t think about those, did you? Yes, it’s true, we can often be our very worst enemies when it comes to receiving the Continue Reading →

The Danger of NOT Letting go of your Past

Rather, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him."

Last week I had a BIG wake-up call (don’t you just love it when God does that?) and I was faced with news that would finally sever ties to the past. Even though in my mind I thought that I had left the past behind obviously I hadn’t fully let it go. God brought a visiting pastor to our church, and he preached on this topic, which convicted me so much, so I’m passing what I took from it onto you because maybe you too need to hear this. So many times we think we have left the past behind Continue Reading →

What I learnt from my Friend’s Passing – I give myself Permission to Live!

I give myself permission to serve in joy

A close friend of mine and dear sister in faith passed away over the weekend and as usual, when something like this happens it prompts you to reflect on life. I would like to share some of my thoughts with you. My friend Lorraine was/is amazing. She had a larger than life personality and an even bigger heart, her door was always open for fellowship and she was a mother to many people. She was a fantastic intercessor and worshipper. Each year without fail she would travel to Israel for ministry work or celebrate a feast day, last year she went Continue Reading →

How to let go of Fear, Pain and Worry

let go of Fear Pain and Worry

Do you believe it’s possible to reach a place where there is no more fear, pain or worry, only stillness, quietness and a deep peace? As I write this question even I wonder at its strangeness, but I have experienced this place at least three times. Before I go any further, I know this post is a long one and possibly challenging but I encourage you to read to the end because I believe that it will bless you. The first time I was in my final year of university, in a place of deep depression and intense emotional pain. Continue Reading →

My Journey: Thoughts on Growing into Me

My journey

***Every once in a while I want to let you into my own growth and healing journey, I can’t promise it will be regular but I hope that it will be honest enough to encourage you.*** I’m feeling sentimental today.  I’m looking back over my past websites here and here and each of them represent a part of me, a period of my life, footsteps on my healing journey.  Although many times we may feel that it would be nice to reminisce and go back, the truth is that we can never go back, going back is never the same Continue Reading →

Two Scriptures that helped me embrace Faith in my Heart

Faith and Love

This week’s theme is Faith.  I have personally had quite a difficult relationship with Faith but I wasn’t aware of it until it became a Word that people used against me. When I fell ill and began to seek support from people in the church, the F word began to pop up a LOT.  I was told that I didn’t have enough faith and that I needed to have more faith. To say these words annoyed me would be a bit of an understatement, they really peeved me off.  However (emphasise x 3), it got me thinking more about faith, the nature of Continue Reading →
