Healed vs Healthy + Black Friday Offer

healed vs healthy

Would you rather be “healed” or healthy? I’ve recently had to own up something to myself, that even though in my mind I might want to be really active (I’ve been doing quite a bit of salsa dancing lately) that I have to play good with my body and where I am right now and NOT against it. This has been all part of the process of me redefining what it means to be healthy where I am. Most people when they think of being healthy they equate that with being free from sickness or healed. I think this is Continue Reading →

My Journey: Thoughts on Growing into Me

My journey

***Every once in a while I want to let you into my own growth and healing journey, I can’t promise it will be regular but I hope that it will be honest enough to encourage you.*** I’m feeling sentimental today.  I’m looking back over my past websites here and here and each of them represent a part of me, a period of my life, footsteps on my healing journey.  Although many times we may feel that it would be nice to reminisce and go back, the truth is that we can never go back, going back is never the same Continue Reading →

Faith without Works is Dead (Health Behaviours and Positive Life Choices)

Life is a choice faith without works is dead

Last week we looked at the importance of authentic faith and it goes very nicely with this week’s topic Health Behaviours and Positive Life Choices. We already know the scripture Faith without works is dead, but as we saw from last week as Christians we tend to focus on only one half of the equation, Faith. I love how the AMP says it: So too, faith, if it does not have works [to back it up], is by itself dead [inoperative and ineffective]. (James 2: 17)

God’s Plan doesn’t Work for Me (Guest post by Ashlee Barclay)

New year is approaching and I can’t think of a better God-ordained post to share.  So glad to welcome Ashlee Barclay as this season’s guest blogger.  This post is full of timely wisdom and I’m sure will be a blessing to someone out there as we move into 2016.   Happy New Year 🙂 So I’m trying to live this life as the perfect teacher turned Stay-at-Home mom. I’m educated, ambitious, determined, and after all, we just have one child – “easy breezy”. That was me about a year ago. The teacher part, that was my choice that I had Continue Reading →

4 Things That Keep You From Achieving Your God Given Dreams (Guest Post by Dr. Naima Johnston – Bush)

Inside each of us is a purpose only we can fulfil.  As the cares of life encompass us we often lose sight of those dreams and settle less.  Are you living a life filled with Christ’s purpose and applying your gifts to be a blessing? It wasn’t until I quit my job to found Broken Box Ministries. I didn’t have the resources to do what God was calling me to do. I felt I was too old to begin pursuing my dream and I was unsure but I needed to trust God. Maybe you’re not called to quit your job Continue Reading →

Say the Word: A Journey to the Right side of the Word (Guest Post)

Say the Word Joanna Oliver Guest Post

I feel mighty blessed to share with you the artfully-penned and thought-provoking words of Joanna Oliver, our latest guest blogger. Say The Word, I will be free, Jesus….. …..say the Word, I’ll be made whole. These are the lyrics of one of my favourite songs, from a CD on almost continuous loop in my car.  Isn’t it funny (in an observational sense), how one’s ears become sensitive to what we listen to once we acknowledge God as our loving father? I have noticed how all of my senses have altered.  I see beauty in most things; I am more attuned Continue Reading →

Are you REALLY Ready? The Lesson from the Dream

Are you Really ready

Hello Friend, today I want to share with you a lesson that I learnt from a recent dream, I posted it as a YouTube video but I’ve also briefly summarised it just in case you prefer reading to listening. This short lesson focuses on the question of whether you’re really ready to move forwards and claim that victory that you have been wanting, working and praying for and one way to know if you’re probably not as ready as you thought. Enjoy 🙂
